Since graduating with an honours degree in journalism I’ve worked in media for almost 20 years. For 15 of those years I’ve specialised in creating food content, compiling food pages for the likes of Elle Decoration and Marie Claire, and working as food editor for Fairlady, Women’s Health and Getaway magazines. In 2014 I co-authored Cook. Better. with my partner Brandon de Kock. Cook. Better. won first runner up in the Sunday Times Food Weekly Cookbook Awards 2014.
Brandon and I also share our food and wine knowledge by cooking with people in their home kitchens and though our Airbnb Experiences. Our Airbnb trip Super Tasters explores Cape Town through the terroir of wine, cheese and lamb, illustrated through comparative tastings and culminating with a braai (aka Lamb Off) in our home. And with Cook. Cape Town, I share the Cook. Better. philosophy and principles through two quintessentially Cape Town recipes: Bobotie and Malva pudding.
